In summer 2024, Soaring in Techno-Wonderland was presented at the Taichung Tun District Art Center, bringing together technology art and local culture through interactive installations, kinetic art, augmented reality, and AI-generated imagery.

As part of the exhibition, two Maker workshops invited families to explore technology and art through hands-on creation.

✦ Tun District Collage Light Box

Participants created layered light boxes using silhouettes and LED strips, transforming their impressions of the Tun District into compositions of light and colour. The workshop encouraged families to explore local culture and environmental awareness through creative making.

✦ Kinetic Cam Workshop

Using cam mechanisms, participants created moving ecological scenes inspired by local landscapes. By designing characters and assembling mechanical structures, children explored movement, nature, and the relationship between technology and art.

✦ Workshop Design & Impact

The workshops were designed and facilitated by Yi-Hsuan Chen and Yun-Chun Lin, incorporating 3D modelling, laser cutting, and LED soldering into customised workshop kits. Nearly 50 families participated across the two sessions, turning visitors from observers into active creators.
