Braised Beef Brisket

A Taste of Taiwan for Lunar New Year🥩

I made this braised beef brisket during Lunar New Year, bringing one of Taiwan's classic comfort dishes to the festive table!

Slow braising is all about patience. Giving the beef enough time to simmer allows it to become tender and soak up the rich, savoury flavours of the broth. It's especially delicious served with a bowl of steamed rice!

One of my favourite things about this dish is how versatile it is. The same flavourful broth can also be used to make Taiwanese beef noodle soup, another iconic local dish.

Through sharing recipes like this, I hope to introduce more people to the flavours and traditions of Taiwanese cuisine!
